We Are SECOM
SECOM is the broadband internet and telecommunications division of Southeast Colorado Power Association (SECPA), an electric power cooperative established in 1937. Since 1998, SECOM has been delivering innovative and competitive data transport solutions powered by high-speed fiber optic infrastructure. With ownership and maintenance of over 2,000 miles of fiber across Southeastern Colorado—a network that continues to expand—we are committed to enhancing connectivity in the region.
As a leader in advanced networking, SECOM has developed a fully integrated metro Ethernet platform, allowing subscribers to connect using the same interface as a local area network, eliminating the need for additional Wide area network equipment.
In 2008, SECOM acquired Rural-Com and Plains Online, two local internet service providers, along with additional providers over the years, further expanding our service offerings. This growth has enabled us to provide residential wireless broadband, in addition to our high-speed fiber solutions. Today, SECOM delivers broadband internet and Wide area network solutions to thousands of customers, including homes, schools, libraries, government agencies, telecom providers, and businesses.
